لا يزال إبليس شارد الذهن؛ يعود بذاكرته الظلامية إلى الأوقات الملحمية التي غيّرت مجرى الزمن، يوم تبدّلت الأماكن من سموات إلى أرض ومن نعيم إلى شقاء ومن حياة إلى موت، وإلى ما صنعه بآدم وزوجه حواء، وهو يوسوس لهما بالأكل من الشجرة المحرّمة.

 أتى المخلوق الرجيم بمحاذاة من الخليفة آدم، وراح يكذب عليه ويزيّن له شجرة الخلد؛ حتى أقنعه بالتذوّق من ثمارها وهكذا؛ كاد ومكر الإله بإبليس وهو لا يعلم أي شيء، تم قطف حبتين من إحدى القطوف الدانية وبمجرد أن قرّب آدم وحواء يديهما من فمهما؛ ليتذوقا الثمرة التي وعدهما بها إبليس؛ اِنتشرت حولهما رائحة للفاكهة، محمّلة برذّاذ لاذع قويّ، لدرجة أنه مرّ مباشرة من الجهاز التنفسي إلى الجهاز الهضمي، ثم سرى في مجرى الدمّ فاِختل على إثره عمل الحمض النووي، ليتسبّب في النهاية؛ بطفرة وراثية أدّت إلى تعديل في تركيبته الجينية، مما أحدث اضطرابا في توازن الهرمونات لديهما.

أصابهما الهلع والخجل على إثرها؛ لما اِنكشفت لهما عوراتهما المغلّظة، فظهر على آدم علامات البلوغ والذكورة والتي تجلّت في تغير صوته، الذي أصبح خشن فجأة وشكل هيئته وجلده، الذي غطاه شعر كثيف رطب، اِكتسح مناطقه الحساسة، على الصدر والمعصمين والساقين، على الشارب واللحية وكشفت له سوءته. أما حواء؛ فقد ظهرت عليها هي أيضا علامات البلوغ والأنوثة التي شعرت بها، فحاضت دمًا أسودًا وبرز الثدي من على صدرها واِكتسح شعر خفيف لجميع مناطقها الحساسة، وكشفت لها سوءتها. بعد أن تشقّقت القشرة اللامعة الصلبة، التي كانت تغطي جسدها ثم زالت من فورها، سقط عنهما ذلك العازل الساطع الطاقي ومن شدة دهشتهما؛ وقعت الثمار من يديهما (وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ) ليسترا نفسيهما قبل أن تظهر سوءاتهما للعيان وكل ذلك من تدبير الإله لهما.

ظنّ إبليس أنه نجج بصنيعه وأن الله غضب من آدم ووجب طرده من الجنّة، لكنه كان مخطىء كما دوما والحقيقة هي؛ أن تلك الشجرة نمت في الجنّة وما في الجنّة كلّه طيّب، فالله طيب لا يقبل إلا طيّب ولا يقرّب منه ما هو خبيث وإنما يبعده؛ كما أبعد إبليس عنه ولم يكلّمه، ولم يقربه ولم يجعله يراه أبدا، كانت تلك الشجرة فعلا شجرة تعبّد طريق الخلد؛ ما دام المرء لم يتذوّق ثمرتها ولم تكن شجرة خبيثة، لأن الجنة تجمع كل طيب ولكن الإله أوهم إبليس وجعله يتسمّع للملائكة؛ حين نهى آدم عن الإقتراب من الشجرة حتى ينفّذ وعدا كان مفعولا.

إبليس كان قد قام بتنجيس طين المخلوق الإنسان، والله وحده من علم بذلك ولما خلق الإله آدم؛ جعل ذريّته في ظهره من طينة طاهرة، وجعل من الطينة النجسة ذريّة أيضا في ظهر آدم وهما فريقان؛ فريق من طين طاهر وفريق من طين نجس، وحتى يخلّص ظهر آدم من ذريّة الطين النجسة ويصيبها الفناء، نهاه عن الإقتراب من تلك الشجرة وعلم أن إبليس سيوسوس له بتناول ثمارها لأنه يحسده، وحتى لا يشعر إبليس بأن الله يعلم بكيده للرجل آدم؛ أظهر الإله أنه غضب من آدم وحواء، اللذان تضرّعا إليه بكامل توبتهما واستغفارهما وإعترفا بالذنب وقساوة تأنيبه على ضميريهما.

فتاب الله عليهما ولأنهما في مرحلة إنتقالية، ما بين ما كانت وما أصبحت عليه أجسادهما؛ فإن آدم وحواء باتت لديهما الرغبة الجنسية، التي كان الله على علم بنشوبها، بعد زوال العازل الطاقي واِضمحلال الحجاب الروحي عنهما واِستبداله بالتّماس الجسدي، فأمر بقوله: "إهبطوا إلى الأرض" وهذا من شأنه أن يخلّص آدم من ذريّة الطين النجسة التي في ظهره.

Confession of a fault is half the path to repentance.

Iblis drifts in distraction, his shadowed memory returning to those epic moments that reshaped the flow of time: the day when realms shifted from heavens to earth, from bliss to affliction, from life to death, and to what he inflicted upon Adam and his wife Eve, when he whispered to them to eat from the forbidden tree.

The accursed creature approached the Caliph Adam, weaving deception and adorning the tree of immortality before him until Adam was persuaded to taste its fruit. Thus Iblis plotted, unaware of the divine orchestration surrounding him. Two fruits were plucked from one of the low-hanging clusters. And as soon as Adam and Eve raised their hands to their mouths to taste what Iblis had promised them, the scent of the fruit spread around them, laden with a sharp, piercing vapor that rushed directly from their respiratory tract to their digestive system, then coursed into their bloodstream, disturbing the balance of their DNA. A mutation followed, altering their genetic structure and creating a hormonal upheaval within them.

Panic and shame welled within them as their concealed nakedness was unveiled. Signs of puberty and manhood appeared upon Adam: his voice deepened abruptly, his skin grew coarse, and thick, moist hair spread across his sensitive areas, his chest, wrists, legs, mustache, and beard, declaring his vulnerability.

Eve, too, felt the marks of emerging womanhood: black menstrual blood, the swelling of her breasts, and a gentle down covering her private areas. The radiant, hardened shell that had wrapped her form cracked apart and vanished in an instant. Their luminous energy shield fell away. In their astonishment, the fruits slipped from their hands, “and they began covering themselves with the leaves of Paradise,” seeking concealment before their exposed nudity met the eye. All of this unfolded by the decree of God.

Iblis believed he had triumphed in his scheme, imagining that God’s anger toward Adam had sealed his expulsion from Paradise. Yet he erred, as he always had. For that tree grew in Paradise, and whatever grows in Paradise is pure; God accepts only what is pure and distances what is vile, just as He distanced Iblis, never speaking to him, never allowing him near, never permitting him to see Him. The tree indeed opened the path of immortality as long as its fruit remained untasted, and it was no vile tree. But God allowed Iblis to overhear the angels when He forbade Adam from drawing near to it, in order to fulfill a decree long destined.

Iblis had already defiled the clay of the human creature; God alone knew this. When He created Adam, He placed within his loins a lineage of pure clay, and from the defiled clay, He placed another lineage, two kinds of descendants: one pure, one impure. And to free Adam’s loins from the lineage of corrupted clay and bring it to an end, He forbade him from approaching the tree. God knew Iblis would tempt him out of envy. And so that Iblis would not sense God’s knowledge of his schemes against Adam, God displayed anger toward Adam and Eve, who pleaded for forgiveness with complete repentance and confessed their fault and the weight of divine reproach upon their consciences.

God forgave them.

And because they were in a transitional phase, between what their bodies had been and what they had become, desire awakened within Adam and Eve, as God had foreknown, following the removal of their energy shield and the dissipation of the spiritual veil, now replaced with physical contact.

Then came the command:

“Descend to Earth.”

A decree that would purge Adam’s lineage of the impure clay carried within his loins.
