في خطوة استراتيجية تعزز مكانة مصر في تحقيق أمنها الغذائي، وافق مجلس الوزراء على تأسيس شركة فيرم مصر لتوطين صناعة صوامع تخزين الحبوب، بالشراكة بين الحكومة المصرية والقطاع الخاص والجانب البولندي.
المشروع الجديد يُمثل نقلة نوعية في مسار الاكتفاء الصناعي، إذ تنتقل مصر من مرحلة استيراد الصوامع إلى تصنيعها محليًا، ما يجعلها أكثر قدرة على تأمين احتياجاتها من الحبوب، ويُحصّنها ضد أزمات الغذاء العالمية.
وأوضح الدكتور شريف فاروق أن المشروع يُعد خطوة استراتيجية للأمن القومي الغذائي، ويهدف إلى أن تكون مصر مكتفية صناعيًا بنسبة 80٪ من مكونات الصوامع خلال ثلاث سنوات فقط، مع توفير سعة تخزين تصل إلى 1.4 مليون طن من الحبوب — وكل ذلك بالجنيه المصري دون أي زيادة في الأسعار طوال مدة التنفيذ.
إنها رسالة قوة واستقلال:
مصر لا تكتفي بتأمين غذائها، بل تصنع أدوات أمنها الغذائي بيديها، وتُصدّر الفائض للعالم، في تجربة فريدة تجمع بين الاستقرار الاقتصادي والسيادة الوطنية.

A New Shield for National Food Security: Egypt Launches “Firm Misr” for Local Manufacturing

In a strategic move that strengthens Egypt’s pursuit of food security, the Egyptian Cabinet has approved the establishment of “Firm Misr”, a company dedicated to localizing the manufacture of grain storage silos, through a partnership between the government, the private sector, and Poland.
The project marks a major leap toward industrial self-sufficiency, as Egypt shifts from importing silos to producing them domestically, enhancing its ability to secure grain supplies and safeguard itself from global food crises.
Dr. Sherif Farouk described the initiative as a strategic step for national food security, aiming for 80% local manufacturing of silo components within three years, providing storage capacity for 1.4 million tons of grain, — all in Egyptian pounds and with stable prices throughout the project period.
It is a message of strength and independence:
Egypt is not only securing its food — it is building the tools of its food security with its own hands, and exporting the surplus to the world.
A model that blends economic stability with national sovereignty.
Egypt doesn’t import solutions — Egypt creates them.
